Terms of service
Last updated 14 September 2026
1. What the service is
Bookline handles forwarded calls using the agreed business information and enabled services. A call may lead to a confirmed appointment, a message or a transfer attempt. Outbound follow-up requires an explicitly enabled and tested workflow with contact permission; a plan name alone does not enable it.
2. What it never does
The assistant never quotes or negotiates prices, confirms insurance coverage, gives medical or legal advice, runs conflict checks, invents availability, or claims to be a person. These boundaries are part of the service and cannot be switched off. We will decline to serve a client who requires the assistant to hide that it is an assistant.
3. Your responsibilities
You set call forwarding on your own number, keep your hours, approved facts and transfer number current, and make any disclosures to your own patients or clients that your profession requires. Requested changes need confirmation of their scope and completion time. You confirm you are entitled to have calls to your number answered and, where enabled, recorded with the agreed notice.
4. Trial, term and cancellation
The 14-day trial runs on your own line at no charge. Paid service is monthly. Onboarding is free with an initial three-month term; otherwise a one-time onboarding fee applies. After the initial term the agreement is month to month and either side may cancel with 30 days' notice. You keep your number and your calendar data.
5. Minutes and pricing
Each tier includes a monthly allowance of assistant minutes. We text you when you have used 80% of it; beyond that you may move up a tier or pay the overage rate stated in your order form. Prices are shown on the pricing section of this site and in your order form; changes are notified in writing 30 days ahead.
6. Availability and fallback
Forwarding, fallback, urgent handling and support arrangements must be agreed and tested for your business before activation. Human connection depends on team availability, and provider outages may interrupt service. Any response-time commitment belongs in the agreed service terms; this draft does not establish verified fallback or a guaranteed answer time.
7. Data
The privacy policy and data-handling note describe information handling and the checks needed before use. Required agreements, permitted processing, recording settings, storage and retention evidence must be confirmed for the business before activation. This draft does not assert that a Business Associate Agreement has been signed.
8. Limitation of liability
We do not guarantee any number of bookings, callers, or revenue. Our liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid in the three months before the event giving rise to it. We are not liable for lost profits or indirect loss, for a caller's decisions, or for misuse of the service by you or your staff.
9. Governing law
Governing law and venue will be stated here before the first paid agreement.
